2020 MAZDA CX-30 - COMING SOON!

The All-New Mazda CX-30 Will Be Joining the Alexandria Lineup This Winter!

If the new Mazda CX-3 is too small, but the Mazda CX-5 is too big, you'll love to find out what's arriving at our Alexandria, VA Mazda dealership at the end of the year. Just as Goldilocks proved to be rather particular in the Three Bears' home, some drivers need the perfectly sized and styled crossover for their travels around Arlington, Woodbridge and beyond, and with the upcoming new Mazda CX-30, they'll find just that. Though its name suggests a far cry from the other new Mazda SUVs found here in Alexandria, the CX-30 is designed to fit comfortably between the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5. But why not the Mazda CX-4? Because that name has already been taken with another Mazda model, just in an edition sold exclusively overseas. Instead, you'll get used to the unique name with a delightful crossover that handles your daily driving around Springfield, Annandale and into Washington D.C. Visit us in Alexandria today to learn more about this exciting newcomer and to see if the Mazda CX-30 is worth waiting for.

What's New for 2020?

In case you didn't get the memo, the Mazda CX-30 is an all-new model, adding even more to Mazda's lineup that's relatively sparse compared to other automakers. But while the upcoming Mazda CX-30 is a brand-new model, it includes a lot that's familiar for fans of the brand. Borrowing a similar style, engine and tech features from the small Mazda3 hatchback, the Mazda CX-30 is definitely oriented as a car-like crossover, with it bound to be a perfectly efficient and sensible everyday vehicle for driving around Alexandria and the D.C. area. Some of the exciting features that will be available later this year at our Mazda dealership:

  • Nimble and maneuverable driving experience
  • Skyactiv-G 2.0 Gasoline engine offering fuel efficiency & eco-friendliness¬†
  • Spacious cabin that makes driving or riding comfortable & enjoyable
  • Generous luggage compartment, up to 430 liters
  • Mazda Connect System, first released in the Mazda3
  • The most advance Human-Machine Interface (HMI), with an 8.8-inch wide-screen center display.
  • 12-speaker Bose system including an 8cm center speaker

Performance and Capabilities

All early reports about the Mazda CX-30 reported that it was borrowing straight from the Mazda3, just in a crossover setup with more interior space, a raised ground clearance and other features you expect in the SUV class, but typically aren't found in small hatchbacks. I hWhile we don't know what it's exact horsepower and torque will be, we do know it will be equipped with the newly developed control system, the i-Activ AWD setup. Expect to feel a boost in traction and control regardless of rainy or snowy roads, while feeling capable and safe.

The Mazda CX-30 will offer drivers a tough choice between the latest Skyactiv-G 2.5 gasoline engine and the Skyactiv-D 1.8 diesel engine. Each is bound to provide you with the kind of performance and fuel economy balance that works perfectly for your travels around northern Virginia.

Safety and Technology

If you prioritize safety in a crossover, any Mazda SUV will do the trick, and the new Mazda CX-30 is bound to join in on the action with premium driver aids. Expected features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert have already been confirmed, as well as these:

  • i-Activsense, with Mazda's state-of-the-art Driver Monitoring system
  • Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), for forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking
  • Mazda's Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) system
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Knee airbag for the driver's seat for added driver safety

As you may know, Mazda does infotainment systems a bit differently from other popular brands. Instead of the typical touchscreen setup that you'll find all over the SUV market, you get a clear, visible head-up 8.8-inch wide-screen center display that's smartly placed in your sightline without distracting you from what's happening on the road. Mazda's active driver assistance features work perfectly for any kind of situation, whether you're navigating the city streets of D.C., or cruising along the Beltway near Arlington and Alexandria, all without being overly sensitive or distracting with loud alerts and warnings.

The end of the year will arrive before you know it, and when it comes, so will the all-new Mazda CX-30, which adds an exciting and sensible option in our SUV lineup. You'll have some time before you can test drive it here at our Alexandria, VA Mazda dealership, but you might want to plan ahead and arrange for the arrival of the Mazda CX-30.
