Introducing the All-New Mazda MX-30

Mazda MX-30: Coming Soon to Brown's Alexandria Mazda

Mazda is going electric. Not with all its vehicles, at least not for a long time, but with the introduction of the new Mazda MX-30, the brand known for innovation is joining the industry-wide revolution in creating clean and green cars. Mazda's electric vehicle (EV), will be a similar size to the gas-powered Mazda CX-30, providing you with a compact crossover setup with easy charging, a smooth and quiet driving experience, and plenty of updated tech and styling choices you'll appreciate. You'll really appreciate the regular updates we provide here at our Alexandria Mazda dealership, where we're ready to receive our favorite brand's first EV and showcase it to customers like you.

What's the Mazda MX-30 All About?

A stylish small crossover that calls back to some classic Mazda designs - with its rear-hinge back doors most prominent - the new Mazda MX-30 will be a great first EV for many drivers from the Alexandria area. The highlight for its electric components will be the ultra-fast charging setup, which can get you up to 80 percent battery power in about 36 minutes. Meanwhile, the modern design is sleek and minimalistic, particularly when you settle inside behind the wheel, reducing the typical clutter and busyness found in many modern vehicles. Further down the road, Mazda has plans for a rotary generator, a gas-powered component that actually charges up the battery pack while you're on the go, giving you more range and less time demanded for charging.

Performance

The Mazda MX-30 pairs up its electric motor with a 35.5-kWh battery pack, and mates with Mazda's innovative drivetrain, which right now is only reserved for front-wheel drive. That setup delivers a smooth and astonishingly quiet 144 horsepower, where the real jolt of energy comes from its 200 pound-feet of torque. That entire powertrain-drivetrain combo really creates an intuitive feel for your driving, which is something many EVs have struggled to adapt to. You'll be confident accelerating at a pace that feels right, while you'll know exactly when it's time to let up and start applying the brakes in your Mazda MX-30.

Where the Mazda MX-30 really impresses is with its high-end charging capabilities. Using DC fast charging stations - with more showing up around Alexandria by the month - you can get up to 80 percent of your battery's capacity in 36 minutes or less, giving you enough range to get home or continue your travels. You can also set up a home charging station for efficient overnight charging. When at a full charge with its battery pack, the new Mazda MX-30 provides more than 100 miles of driving range, though details are still scarce due to the extra wait time we're expecting for Mazda's premier EV.

Technology

On the tech front, of course Mazda's first EV is loaded with smart features for keeping you connected, entertained, and above all else, safe. You'll have a multi-function command knob, a clear and intuitive touchscreen and other controls and voice commands to access all sorts of infotainment features, helping you stay on the right path and remain connected through smartphone integration. You'll even have a special mobile app that allows you to access some functions through your smartphone when you're outside of your Mazda MX-30.

Safety

For driver assistance, plenty of smart Mazda safety features will be in place with the new Mazda MX-30. Collision mitigation, lane-departure warning and blind-spot monitoring are the kinds of popular Mazda safety aids found throughout the currently available gas-powered lineup, and we're confident the Mazda MX-30 will provide similar systems with some nice upgrades befitting the first EV from this innovative and intelligent brand.
