Brown's Alexandria Mazda & William E. Schuiling were granted the privilege to honor two local heroes through the Mazda Essential Car Care Program. This program presented new Mazda Vehicles to local citizens who were selflessly giving back to their communities. 50 Heroes were chosen from all over the United States. Mazda received over 1,000 entries. Our Local Heroes, Kristina Davis and Rachel Williams, were chosen and joined us at the dealership last week to receive their 100th Special Anniversary Mazda MX-5 Miata.

Kristina, a Nurse and devoted Public Health advocate, worked tirelessly in COVID units where PPE was limited and crowded. She even dedicated her time off to travel to other states with overrun COVID units to help their staff. As a nurse she was on the front line caring for patient with COVID-19 day in and day out.

Rachel, an elementary School Art Teacher, had shifted her way of teaching due to the pandemic to teaching her young students how to navigate the virtual learning platforms while also volunteering her personal time to be at the school to help distribute supplies to parents and students in need. Rachel is an innovative teacher who is doing everything that she can for her students.
 
We are very lucky to have such wonderful local heroes among us. Brown Car Stores and Mazda is proud to give back to our front line workers as they have given so much to our community during this pandemic. We hope that they inspire others to go above and beyond.
